The 498th meeting of the Syndicate of the University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir. The meeting was attended by Syndicate members, Deans of various faculties, and administrative officers.
The Syndicate reviewed the university’s financial, administrative, academic, and research affairs in detail and discussed the performance of different departments along with future strategies.
The members appreciated the one-year performance of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir and expressed hope that under his leadership UET will achieve greater recognition at the international level. They termed his leadership a positive development for the university.
During the meeting, the policy for the recruitment of adjunct professors was approved, and the decisions of the Academic Council were also endorsed.
Furthermore, the Syndicate approved the annual budget for the fiscal year 2025-26 and deliberated on various proposals aimed at further improving the university’s development and quality of education.
