Higher Education Commission of Pakistan conducted Institutional Performance Evaluation of UET on 2021 and 22 Oct 2021.

Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has started an external Institutional Performance Evaluation (IPE) of all higher educational institutions to improve their academic quality. IPE has a significant weightage in the yearly progress of universities. The scope of this evaluation includes, both academic as well non-academic performance of universities. In this connection, HEC has conducted IPE of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore on 20,21 and 22 Oct 2021. A review panel comprised of six senior academicians and professionals were appointed to review the performance of the university. The panel was welcomed by Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz, Registrar UET Muhammad Asif and Deputy Director QEC Engr. Mureed Abbas. The activity started with recitation of Holy Quran. The meeting was chaired by Dean Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Prof. Dr. Nadeem Ahmad Mufti. Prof. Dr. Amer Aziz presented the progress of the university to the review panel. The evaluation continued for three days where different activities including interactive sessions with faculty, students and head of the non-teaching staff were carried out. Furthermore, the review panel also visited the selected departments and library. An exit meeting chaired by respected Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar was held in VC Conference Room on Oct 22, 2021. In this meeting Convener of the Review Panel Prof. Dr. Riaz shared his findings and appreciated the efforts of UET to enhance the quality of education. Respected Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Syed Mansoor Sarwar shared his thoughts and acknowledged the efforts of the panel and QEC of UET. At the end, the souvenirs were distributed among the evaluators.
