A Board of Governors (BoG) meeting for the Center of Excellence in Water Resources Engineering (CEWRE) was held on September 24, 2024, chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir. Director CEWRE Prof. Dr. M. Atiq Ur Rehman Tariq welcomed and congratulated the Vice Chancellor on assuming his new role. All board members expressed appreciation for the chair’s commitment to convene the meeting on his very first day in office.
The key agenda item was the approval of CEWRE’s budget for the upcoming financial year. In addition to this, the Board approved the minutes of the Finance and Planning Committee (F&PC) meeting. Another important item was the confirmation of the minutes from the Selection Board, allowing for the issuance of appointment letters to selected faculty members. Several other matters related to CEWRE governance and policy-making were also discussed. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks exchanged between the chair and the attendees.
