The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore celebrated Pakistan’s 77th Independence Day with a vibrant flag hoisting ceremony. The campus was adorned with bunting, lights, and flags, and national songs filled the air, creating a festive atmosphere.
Vice Chancellor of UET Lahore Prof. Dr. Nasir Hayat served as the Chief Guest, inaugurating the ceremony with the national flag hoisting. The event saw a significant turnout, including Deans of all faculties, Chairpersons, the Registrar, Controller of Examinations, PRO, DSA, Director KICS, academic and administrative staff, and a large number of students. The enthusiasm of families, particularly children, was palpable throughout the celebration.
During the ceremony, certificates were awarded to students who excelled in Urdu and English essay writing and IQ test competitions organized by the DSA Office. The event concluded with a cake-cutting ceremony, the planting of saplings, and special prayers for the peace and prosperity of Pakistan.
