UET Lahore Climbs to 163rd in 2025 QS Asia University Rankings

The University of Engineering & Technology (UET) Lahore has proudly ascended to the 163rd position in the prestigious 2025 QS Asia University Rankings. Among the 984 institutions evaluated across Asia, including 70 from Pakistan, UET Lahore has distinguished itself with an impressive ranking of 163rd.

This remarkable achievement reflects UET’s commitment to excellence, positioning it among Asia’s leading institutions across both engineering and non-engineering disciplines. The QS Asia University Rankings, a benchmark for academic performance and reputation, evaluated 984 institutions across Asia. “UET Lahore’s improved ranking highlights its strong research output, academic excellence, and employability impact.” Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (TI) says.

The university has shown consistent progress over recent years, moving up from 251-300 in 2015 to 163 in 2025, surpassing 83.4% of institutions in the region. Key indicators contributing to UET’s rise include its focus on specialist fields, high research intensity, and increased employer nominations.

With record number of publications, citations, and a vast network of academic and employer nominations, UET Lahore has cemented its status as a leader in higher education. UET’s Vice Chancellor expressed pride in this achievement, emphasizing the university’s ongoing dedication to innovation, research, and providing quality education to future leaders in Pakistan and beyond.
