UET Lahore Hosts Solidarity Rally for Kashmir

On the occasion of Kashmir Day, The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, under the leadership of Vice Chancellor Dr. Shahid Munir, organized a rally to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. The rally commenced from the Vice Chancellor’s office and concluded at the UET Auditorium Complex. During the rally, participants carried placards inscribed with slogans against Indian atrocities and advocating for the freedom of Kashmir. The event saw strong participation from UET’s students from the Indian occupied Kashmir, who were dressed in traditional Kashmiri attire. They raised slogans calling for Kashmir’s freedom and denouncing Indian repression.
Dr. Shahid Munir addressed the rally, stating that the sun of freedom will soon rise in Kashmir. He emphasized that India must be held accountable for the atrocities committed against Kashmiris and reaffirmed that the Kashmiris are not alone in their struggle for freedom. He also highlighted India’s failure to implement UN resolutions on Kashmir, calling it a reflection of its fascist stance. Dr. Munir further declared that the completion of Pakistan is not possible without the freedom of Kashmir and condemned India’s human rights violations in the region.

 

He also pointed out that for Kashmir’s freedom, a strong and economically stable Pakistan is essential. The rally included a patriotic performance by Kashmiri students, who sang the national anthem in support of their cause. The event was attended by a large number of students, Deans, Faculty members, and Heads of various academic and administrative departments at UET Lahore.
