The 3rd Annual Seerah Conference titled “Milad-un-Nabiﷺ& 1500 Years of Prophetic Mercy” was held at the University of Education, Lahore, on September 18, 2025. The conference was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Aqif Anwar Chaudhry. The Chief Guest was Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir TI (Vice Chancellor, UET Lahore), the Keynote Speaker was Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Chaudhary (Former Vice Chancellor, University of Sargodha), and the Honorable Guest was Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami (Journalist & Columnist)and Dr.Tanveer Qasim Rana UET
The University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore, in collaboration with the Islamic Cultural Society, is organizing the 3rd Annual Seerah Conference titled “Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) & 1500 Years of Prophetic Mercy.” The conference will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM in the Main Auditorium, Academic Block, Township Campus, UET Lahore.
The event will be chaired by Prof. Dr. Asif Anwar Chaudhry, Vice Chancellor, UET Lahore, while Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (TI), Vice Chancellor, University of Central Punjab, will grace the occasion as the Chief Guest.
The keynote address will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Akram Chaudhry, an eminent Islamic scholar. Renowned journalist and columnist Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Shami will join as Guest of Honour.
The conference is being organized by the Department of Islamic Studies, DIOL, UET Lower Mall Campus, Lahore, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Rana Tanveer Qasmi (Head of Department).
Other distinguished speakers include Dr. Mufti Intekhab Ahmad Noori, Dr. Waheed-ur-Rehman Khan, and Dr. Muhammad Shahbaz Manj, who will highlight different aspects of the Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) mercy, teachings, and their relevance to the contemporary world.
This annual Seerah Conference aims to provide students, faculty, and participants with a deeper understanding of the timeless lessons of Prophet Muhammad’s (PBUH) life, promoting peace, harmony, and compassion in society.
