The Vice Chancellor University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir, paid a visit to the Faisalabad campus, where he was warmly received by Campus Coordinator Dr. Mohsin and faculty members. During his visit, Dr. Munir addressed a meeting with faculty members and administrative heads.
In his address, Dr. Munir emphasized the significant role of UET’s Faisalabad campus due to the city’s industrial nature. He announced that new engineering programs, aligned with the local industrial and business needs, would be introduced, including disciplines related to Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
He assured that initiatives for the welfare of faculty members and staff would be taken and highlighted that the students remain the university’s core asset, vowing that no compromise would be made on their educational facilities. He also encouraged faculty to focus on research and innovation alongside teaching, stating that new projects and ideas would be actively encouraged.
Additionally, Dr. Munir inaugurated a water filtration plant on the Faisalabad campus during his visit.
