KICS UET Lahore signed MoU with Burki Institute of Public Policy at NETSOL (BIPP)

Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS), UET Lahore signed an MoU with The Shahid Javed Burki Institute of Public Policy at NETSOL (BIPP) to work in tripple HEILUX model to conduct research and development for building a pilot run solution for Pakistan Railways.
Prof. Dr. Waqar Mahmood, Director KICS, Dr. Tahir, and Hammad Hassan from KICS whereas Dr. Ijaz Sindhu, and Mr. Shahid from BIPP were present at the MoU ceremony.
BIPP and KICS will develop and deploy the pilot run for the proof of concept of collision detection and track monitoring solution. This solution will be deployed and tested across some of the designated locomotives where the target will be to modernize the surveillance and monitoring and to take preemptive measures against any abnormal situation. We aim to deliver an efficient, low-cost, robust solution with a serving capability of 24/7/365.
