TICK in collaboration with SMEDA organized a seminar on Entrepreneurship as a Viable Career.
Technology Incubation Centre KICS (TICK) is a Tech. Incubator at Al-Khawarizmi Institute of Computer Science (KICS), UET Lahore, that creates investment opportunities, technology partnerships & helps grow and scale startups to create an impact on a societal level by solving some problem whereas Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) aims to be a worldwide model organization to take on the challenge of developing Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in Pakistan with a futuristic approach and professional management structure and focused on providing an enabling environment and business development services to small and medium enterprises.
Entrepreneurship plays an important role in creating economic opportunities, decreasing unemployment, increasing wages, generating tax revenue, increasing wealth, and contributing to a stronger nation by building a sound socio-economic system in the country.
The agenda of this seminar was to understand the importance & concept of Entrepreneurship, learn the real-time steps involved in starting a small business, and enable to apply the frameworks and tools for successfully managing a small business.
Mr. Ansaar Ahmad Qureshi was the invited speaker of the seminar. He is a Business Strategist, with hands-on experience in helping Small & Mid-Sized organizations identify and resolve their business growth challenges by addressing business practice as well as leadership mindset issues and hence unlocking business growth potential.
A large number of students from the Business & Management and other disciplines attended the seminar and shared their ideas. The seminar ended up with a productive Q & A session.
